Heather Madrid (She/Her), Graduate Intern

I’m Heather (She/Her/hers) and I am a student at Midwestern State University. I have completed all of my coursework and requirements to begin working with clients. I have an amazing team of people behind me including my supervisor Ashley Hubbard, MS, NCC, LPC, LMHC at Vibrant Journey Counseling, PLLC and my University Supervisor Dr. Wendy Helmcamp PhD., LPC-S.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from American Military University in 2018. I am now working to earn my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Midwestern State University. I am comfortable with all walks of life and open to any unique concern. Being active duty, I am also knowledgeable about issues that affect military members, veterans, and their families.

I believe in the positive impact that communication and relationships can have. I am here to create an environment that makes you feel comfortable and heard. Thank you for taking the time to care for yourself, I’m excited to be part of your journey.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. My husband and I love to cook, go to the beach, and relax at home. We have a four-year-old son who is a wonderful ball of energy and two lovable dogs, Jenny and Hank.
