Ashley practices with people from all walks of life including adolescents to adults. She is licensed in both Texas and Washington State. She is driven toward empowering women, supporting LGBTQIA2S+ Individuals, and has a strong passion for working with adults who have experienced sexual assault, or who have experienced childhood trauma. Ashley is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) certified and an EMDR Consultant and often uses this therapeutic approach when addressing trauma and traumatic memories. Overall, she builds a safe place to process and heal when therapeutically addressing various forms of trauma. Ashley understands that after the trauma of sexual assault your sexuality and sex life can be difficult to navigate. Has your sexuality been a taboo topic in your life? Ashley provides a safe space for you to process your thoughts and feelings surrounding your sexuality to help increase your own empowerment.

Ashley believes that healing past trauma is important for future healing. Family dynamics continually play a part in our present concerns and thought patterns, giving us room as adults to challenge and heal. She meets you where you are, providing a non-judgmental and safe space for lasting change. She loves adding a natural and holistic approach to the therapeutic process to enhance overall wellness.

Ashley also works with highly sensitive people who have the sensory processing sensitivity trait. Ashley is a highly sensitive person and provides her clients with a safe space to process and understand this trait more deeply.

Ashley graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Texas and continued at UNT to get her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Prior to getting her master’s degree, Ashley worked with college students as an academic advisor which strengthened her love for helping others figure life out! Ashley understands the importance of having a positive counseling experience and has a desire to help others feel comfortable and safe when discussing the hard stuff.

Ashley loves reading young adult fiction and has a zest for travel. Her dream vacation would be to go to Scotland! She has a passion for history, superheroes, Harry Potter, and baseball!

An EMDR Consultant™ has conducted at least 300 EMDR therapy sessions with at least 75 different clients and has provided feedback and guidance to other EMDR trained clinicians regarding their use of EMDR therapy with clients. To achieve this credential, the consultant has met standards for consultation hours during the Consultant in Training process, engaged in clinical practice and satisfied continuing education requirements in EMDR therapy. To maintain this credential, the EMDR Consultant™ must continue to satisfy EMDRIA requirements including completion of continuing education hours (EMDRIA Credits) and adherence to EMDRIA policies.
