Brock is a caring counselor who joyfully works with adults, adolescents, and children. Brock is EMDR Trained for working with individuals who have experienced trauma. He also employs art and play interventions in work with children. Brock has previous experience working with victims of sexual assault.
He understands the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment in a counseling relationship. He focuses on resiliency for each individual and is respectful of unique perspectives. He examines relationships, patterns of behavior, thought processes, self-esteem, and goals for the future. Brock often has a calm, gentle demeanor as he listens, asks questions, or provides reflections. He is direct in his approach to counseling while remaining non-judgmental, empathetic, patient, and understanding. Sometimes change happens gradually while other times change is surprisingly sudden. Emphasizing solutions, problem-solving, and successes are also key factors to the therapeutic process in his work.
Brock graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Baylor University and obtained his Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Texas Wesleyan University. He is devoted to doing his absolute best to serve his clients, to make effective use of time in therapy, and easing the process of healing.
Brock is able to accept Aetna, United/Oscar/Optum, Cigna & BCBS insurance and accepts clients at the reduced rate of $100-$150.
