Melissa Callahan (She/Her), Graduate Intern
Hi, I’m Melissa Callahan. I am currently pursuing my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Midwestern State University. I am under the supervision of Ashley Hubbard, M.S., NCC, LPC, LMHC, at Vibrant Journey Counseling and Dr. Rosalyn Patrice Dunn, Ph.D., LPC-S, at MSU. I am deeply grateful for their guidance and the example they set as I grow into this work.
I believe therapy is one of the most sacred spaces we can create together—a space where you don’t have to perform, prove, or pretend. Just be. I am here to witness, walk with, and honor the parts of you that may have been silenced, shaped by survival, or misunderstood. Whether you are navigating a major transition, rebuilding after loss, or simply feeling worn down by life, I hold deep respect for your experiences and the strength it takes to show up.
My goal is to offer clients a space that feels steady, human, and hopeful. I don’t believe you have to have it all figured out to deserve care. You don’t have to be in crisis to reach out. You just have to be willing to start somewhere. In session, I meet people with compassion, curiosity, and care, supporting them as they begin to reconnect with their voice, values, and sense of possibility.
I welcome clients from all walks of life. You might be moving through grief, facing hard decisions, redefining your identity, or holding pain that feels too heavy to name. Whatever you bring, I’ll meet you there, with kindness and without judgment. Outside of the counseling room, I find joy in my family, caring for my fur babies, sipping strong coffee, indulging in true crime, having long conversations, and pondering the cosmos. I believe the little things—the quiet, the deep, the weird and wonderful—can be healing too. Wherever you are in your story, you are not alone. I’d be honored to support you.
Sessions with me are $30. I look forward to meeting you, wherever you are on your path.
